Despite still only being 22, Walkden was the most experienced member of a youthful eight strong squad that travelled to Scandinavia under the watchful eye of GB Performance Director, Gary Hall.
The fighter will return to the -80kg Olympic division for the year-ending Grand Prix, where he could face fellow Briton Aaron Cook - the man he was controversially selected ahead of for London 2012.
Other British fighters in the main draw include Olympic champion Jade Jones in the -57kg division, European champion Michael Harvey and London Olympian Martin Stamper (both -68kg), and Bianca Walkden in the +67kg class.
The championships will mark Muhammad's first fight in the UK since he became Great Britain's first male Olympic taekwondo medallist last summer.
