Dragan Jović showed a high-level online Taekwondo class

Serbia - 2020/04/25 - Serbian Dragan Jović, considered today as one of the best coaches in the world, has outstanding achievements as the two successive Olympic medals with Milica Mandic in London 2012 (Gold) and Tijana Bogdanovic in Rio in 2016 (Silver).


 

The coach recruited by World Taekwondo Europe (WTE) for the “Instructor’s Squad” initiative, provided an hour-long online training through the MasTKD.com social media channels (YouTube and Facebook), along with his outstanding daughter Teodora Jovic National Team Member of the junior division.

Besides of the visible work with Mandic and Bogdanovic, Serbia has an historical arsenal made up of other athletes such as Vanja Stanković, gold at the Muju 2017 World Taekwondo Championships, Milos Gladovic, Damir Fejzic or the European Champion, Drasko Jovanov, among others.

Dragan Jović has been in Taekwondo since 1987 and has been a coach since 1991. That was the year when he opened his Dojang, “Taekwondo Klub Galeb”, in Belgrade, where the two Olympic Taekwondo stars from Serbia came from.

In this way, WT Europe, MasTKD.com and Daedo Internacional seek to keep people active at home. This initiative was born as part of the strategies to mitigate the stress caused by COVID-19, around the world.

In addition, Taekwondo players are intended to remain active in their homes and not suffer a drop in level due to the mandatory recess.

On MasTKD.com platforms, athletes such as Yousef Karami, Joël van der Weide, Vanja Stanković, Elif Yilmaz or Jesús Tortosa, among others, have already taught their lessons.
