For more than a decade 3 time USA Olympian Juan Miguel Moreno has directed this training camp for athletes of all levels. He leads a staff of 15 coaches from the United States, Central America and Europe.
The camp also features the opportunity to train with 2 USA Olympic athletes, senior national team members, junior national team members, and cadet national team members from the United States and other countries.
As always there is more than just training offered at this camp. Athletes were able to test their reaction and coordination on the FITLIGHT training system presented by Peak Performance FITLIGHT Training Center.
Also, this year’s title sponsor Century Martial Arts came out to promote their new line of WTF approved gear Pro Specs with samples of products and giveaways.
Within 48 hours the athletes participate in 6 training sessions, two of which feature sparring with the Dae Do TK-Strike Electronic Protector system.
The camp also has professional medical personnel staffed by Bare Essentials onsite attending to the athletes. All the athletes are constantly under the watchful eye of well qualified experienced coaches.
Coach Moreno and the coaching staff provide guidance and tips throughout every training session.
After arriving at the Gaylord Palms resort, you quickly realize that everything you need is onsite.
The training area is spacious and easily accommodates the athletes, families and friends. There is no need for driving to and from training. Simply wake up and walk from your room to the convention center stopping for breakfast and or a beverage along the way. In between training sessions and after the conclusion of training each day you can enjoy the resorts many amenities. There are several restaurants, a coffee shop, gift shops, gym, spa, pools, a water park, live fish, alligators and more are all inside the hotel and resort.
The Peak Performance Sport Taekwondo Camp model has proven itself to be the premier training event in the United States. This model is so successful that alumni from this camp have gone on to win Junior World Championships Gold, Youth Olympic Games Gold, Pan Am Games Gold, World Championships Medals and Olympic Games medals.
