Adrian Tranter, President of the British Taekwondo, said he was very excited to receive the Grand Prix Series for the second time since Manchester was the host of the inaugural event last December 2013:   “It was a great honor to host the inaugural WTF Grand Prix in 2013, laying the foundations for this new ground breaking event series in partnership with the WTF.  Our ambition is to improve on the service to teams and athletes and enhance the sports presentation even further, making Taekwondo a superbly entertaining experience for TV and online audiences around the world”

“I must thank UK Sport and Manchester City Council for their continued outstanding support to enable us to host this amazing event. And of course we thank President Dr Choue and the WTF for entrusting us yet again with the responsibility of hosting one of their flagship series events.  Our Grand Prix promises to be a spectacular three days of high level taekwondo, where our sports superstars can showcase their talent as they set their sights on the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio”  said Tranter.
