The president of the Mexican Federation said the ceremony will be a multicolor party with a lot of Mexican details.  The presence of important sports and government leaders have been confirmed:  Dr. Chungwon Choue, President of the World Taekwondo Federation, Mr. Carlos Lozano de la Torre, Governor of the State of Aguascalientes, Mr. Jesús Mena, Director General of the National Culture and Sports Commission – CONADE –  and Mr. Carlos Padilla Becerra, President of the Mexican Olympic Committee.

“Our ceremony will be unforgettable, as we will have the presence of mounted cowboys on their horses, while a mariachi band will be singing the most representative and significant songs from Mexico;  at the center of the venue many dancers moving and dancing folkloric Mexican music.  To end the grand opening a lot of fireworks.  This will be like a party and we will share with our visitors and whoever watch the event through internet how the Aguascaliente people celebrate the “Feria de San Marcos de Aguascalientes” (The Aguascalientes Saint Mark Fair)  Also, the WTF Demo Team will perform an astonishing show” said López.

The protocol activities will then begin with the parade of all delegations, honors to the Mexican flag, the singing of the Mexican National Anthem as host nation, and then the singing of the World Taekwondo Federation anthem.  Some children will give awards to the local and sports leaders.   Rhythmic audio lighting system and close circuit television will be used.

Over 150 people are working on details at the Gimnasio Olímpico de Aguascalientes to be ready for the grand opening to be held tomorrow.

“I am quite sure that our opening ceremony will be memorable for all,” concluded Juan Manuel Lopez Delgado.
