The 2014 Asian Games will be held in the city of Incheon, South Korea from September 19 to October 4. The venue where Taekwondo will see action is the Ganghwa Dolmens Gymnasium located on the island of Ganghwado, the northwest of Incheon.
Ganghwa Dolmens Gymnasium has a capacity of 4,014 seats and 159 parking places. According to the 2014 Asian Games official web, Ganghwa Dolmens Gymnasium design represents harmony between Yin and Yang.
The Taekwondo competition will last four days, from September 30 to October 3, and will distribute 16 gold medals. During the last edition, four years ago, Korea took the lead in taekwondo gold medal collection and locals hope that during this competition Korean athletes regain the positions lost in the last few years against emerging Taekowndo powers.
