The G1 in Costa Rica is coming

The seventh edition of this event, which is becoming a leader in the Central American area, will be held at the “Gimnasio Ciudad Deportiva BN Arena” from August 29 to 31, 2014.

The competition will include poomsae (individual, team and free style), Combat (individual and team) in kid, cadet, junior and senior divisions, and Para-Taekwondo. Daedo PSS will be used.

Before the competition, a training course organized by the Host and the Cuban Taekwondo Federation will be carried out; Mr. Carlos Banasco, President of the Cuban Taekwondo Federation will address topics such as characterization of Taekwondo as a sport, guidelines for sports training, Capacity and Power in Taekwondo, Preparation of Programs for Taekwondo Athletes of all ages and the Training course for Costa Rican Athletes. Additionally, Mr. Roberto Suarez Cardenas, coach of the Cuban National Commission and who is recognized as one of the top trainers of the discipline in Cuba will also be present.

The Costa Rican Taekwondo Federation is preparing to welcome the various delegations from around the world that will arrive to this paradisiacal land looking to compete in a first level event and will allow all participants to get closer to their Olympic dream.
