The co-branded PSS supplants the KP&P-branded PSS. The underlying technology remains the same, as informed the WTF through its official web.
The WTF recognized the KP&P PSS in January 2013. The WTF has also recognized the Daedo International PSS, beginning in February 2010.
In June 2009, the WTF used the PSS at the 2009 WTF World Cup Taekwondo Team Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan for the first time in its history. Then the PSS was used at the 2009 WTF World Taekwondo Championships in Copenhagen, Denmark in October 2009 and at the taekwondo competition of the 2012 London Olympic Games.
