The Classification Guidelines for Para-Taekwondo Championships were presented

2014-06-18_89019x_Olof_Hansson_IMG_2659The parameters taken into account to classify the athletes of the different divisions were presented by the WTF Para-Taekwondo Committee at the Kassado Plaza Hotel. This was done in order to professionalize the process and continue evolving before the eyes of the IPC (International Paralympic Committee), to thereby form part of the 2020 Paralympic Games.

During this presentation, information was provided to the coaches about the process of the classification which will consist of a medical evaluation by a specialist and then a technical evaluation, as well; both evaluations would be around 20 minutes long.

The WTF Para-Taekwondo Committee explained in detail the specific schedule and location for each athlete to attend the classification appointment to guarantee the smooth flow of the classification process, which would end on Friday June 20, 2014.

Olof Hansson, coordinator of this committee, explained the logistical aspects of the classification and solved several doubts and questions from the coaches.

After this presentation, the WTF Para-Taekwondo Committee continued its exhausting work here in Moscow since the activities and commitments have demanded to work even overtime to guarantee that the World Para Taekwondo Championships is carried out flawlessly.
