Thailand and South Korea win team kyorugi at World University Taekwondo Championships

Thailand and South Korea respectively won the women's team and men's kyorugi competitions in the 13th World University Taekwondo Championships.

Thailand and South Korea, respectively, won the women’s team and men’s kyorugi competitions in the 13th World University Taekwondo Championships on Saturday in Hohhot, capital of north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, informed the ShanhaiDaily.com.

In the women’s final, Thailand defeated South Korea 6-5 to grab the gold medal. Turkey and Brazil shared the bronze medals.

South Korea claimed the men’s final after beating Brazil, with Thailand and the United States sharing the bronze.

The seven-day championships came to an end on Saturday and taekwondo will be featured as a medal event in the Summer Universiade since 2015.
