As masTaekwondo.com did in the last version held in Tijuana, Mexico in 2010, we will give complete coverage to the two important events in Taipei City: the WTF Qualifying Tournament for Nanjing 2014 Youth Olympic Games (March 20-21) and the 10th WTF World Junior Taekwondo Championships (March 23-26 March) and will be independent of each other.
The first event will exclusively qualify the athletes to the Youth Olympic Games which will be held in Nanjing, China between August 16 28 , where Taekwondo competitions will be carried out on August 17-21. The qualifying tournament will be held in the ten Olympic categories (five women and five men), while the Junior World Championships that will hold in twenty divisions (ten female and ten male).
Both global events will be held in the “Taipei Arena”, modern stadium is located in Songshan District and has a capacity for 15,000 spectators.

The places for the Olympic Games will be distributed for each gender as follows: 37 places will be awarded through the qualifying tournament; 3 will be awarded to the host country; and 10 places will be awarded as “Wild Cards”, completing a total of 100 athletes. It is important to mention that each country is allowed to bring three women and three men, one athlete per weight division.
