Three Gold Medals for Vietnam

Also three silver and five bronze medals were won by other Vietnamese athletes in the -29 kg. men’s individual, men’s team and women’s team categories and the -39 kg. men’s team, women’s individual and men’s individual categories.


2013-10-31_Bali-Indonecia_world_Poomsae_IMG_67081en.nhandan.org.vn posted an article stating that Vietnam athletes have taken three gold medals at the 8th World Poomsae Taekwondo Championships, held from October 31-November 3 in Bali, Indonesia.

Vietnam also took three silver and five bronze medals across the men’s and women’s competitions. The trio of Chau Tuyet Van, Nguyen Thi Le Kim and Nguyen Thu Ngan won a gold medal in the women’s team event on the first day of the tournament.

On the final day, Vietnamese athletes brought home two more gold medals; one in the men’s team event and another in the team creative poomsae event.

500 athletes from 49 countries around the world competed at the championships.

At last year’s tournament in Tunja, Colombia, Vietnam earned one gold, five silver and two bronze medals.
