The competition of the World Team Cup will be carried out in the TK-5 modality, the same used in the recent SportAccord Combat Games in St. Petersburg, Russia with great success, so it is expected that this modality continues to increase.

The process to select the countries to participate in this edition was the following:

• The top ten teams in the 2013 World Championships in Puebla. If the host country is within the top ten or if of the guests canceled their participation, the place would be awarded to the best place.
• The host country´s team
• A team recommended by each Continental Union.
• In case of a team recommended by a Continental Union  cannot attend, the  WTF would have the right to replace it.

This event is ranked G-4 and will award the following points for the ranking:

• 1st place: 40 points
• 2nd place: 24 points
• 3eros places: 14.4 points
• 5th places: 8.64 points

Weigh-in

Male team:  Six athletes (5 + 1 substitute) total:    432 kg

If the team does not have a substitute, the total must be 360 kg or less.

Women team:  Six athletes (5 + 1 substitute)  total  366 kg

If the team does not have a substitute, the total must be 305 kg or less
