Pakistan Team Heading to Jakarta

A three-member Pakistan Taekwondo outfit on Wednesday departed for Jakarta to chip in the 7th Asian Junior Taekwondo Championship to take place there from June 21-23.

Pakistan-Taekwondo-Federation2The Pakistan squad consists of official Murtaza Hassan Bangash and one male and one female Khyrogi players. Tahir Ali will represent the country in under 51 kg category, while Mahnoor in under 63 category, Lt Col Waseem Ahmed, secretary general of The PTF thankful to Pakistan Sports Board and Inter Provincial Coordination for their continued support and cooperation for the promotion of game, he said.

He said the approval of no objection certificates to Pakistan team in current situation of sports in the country was made possible due to the efforts of Fareed Ullah Khan, Secretary Ministry of IPC.

He said the two junior players will represent the country in an Asian event for the first time and federation was hoping some good results from them.

The participation in this mega event will give confidence to young besides providing them an opportunity to develop experience and learn latest techniques.
