The 3rd Carthage International Open Taekwondo Championships

The 3rd Carthage International Open Taekwondo Championships ended in Tunis with the participation of over 300 athletes.

6 countries have participated to the International Taekwondo Tournament in la Marsa area in the Capital city Tunis from the 11th to the 12th of May. Athletes from Africa, Europe and Iran have competed to win Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

The team of the Islamic Republic dominated the competition in both male and female fights and in all categories. With 6 gold medals for ladies and 7 for men, Iranian athletes have more ambitions as they are ready for the world championships

 

Dr. Peyman Jebelli, Iran’s Ambassador to Tunisia said that many cooperation projects have been realized in Sports between the Islamic Republic and Tunisia. He added that Taekwondo and other activities are bringing the 2 nations closer together

 

With 26 medals in 2 days and the impressive performance of its athletes, the Iranian national team has proven its readiness to face challenges and win more competitions. The experience in Tunisia will certainly facilitate the preparation for the upcoming International tournaments

 

The 3rd Carthage International Open Taekwondo Championships ended in Tunis with the participation of over 300 athletes. Some experts say the victory of Iranian athletes was expected a few months ahead of the World Championships.
