During this week, some outstanding female athletes from Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Finland and Spain are concentrated in the Polideportivo Príncipes de Asturias. They have chosen the Centro de Tecnificación de Taekwondo de Baleares (Baleares Taekwondo Tecnification Center) as part of their preparation for the World Taekwondo Championships to be held next July in Puebla, México.
Toni Navas Tejero informed masTaekwondo.com that among the group of athletes, there are three Olympic and many international medalists: Suvi Mikkonen, Elin Johansson, Manuela Bezzola, Yanna Schneider, Nina Kläy, Lucía Sánchez, Rebeca Mariño and Marta Oliver.
Along with Toni Navas (Technical Director of the Center) there are other Olympic coaches as Jesus Ramal, Niko Kricka, and Kiklas Andersson, Germany National Team coach, Dimitros Lautenschläger, and the NWTU Germany Federation, Antonio Barbarino.
Juan Antonio Ramos, France National Taekwondo Team coach and twice World Champion, and the three times World Champion and Olympic silver medalist, Brigitte Yagüe attended the training sessions, too.
