La Estación Hotel, in the beautiful city of Benidorm Alicante, in the Valencian Community, is the operations center chosen by the organization to carry out registrations, weigh-in and certifications.
The Spanish Open began today with the Poomsae competitions. Starting tomorrow, until next Sunday the combat (kyorugi) competitions will take place at the Pabellón Municipal Camilo Cano in La Nucía where the XI European Poomsae Championship were held in the three previous days.
The kyorugi competitions promise to be at the highest level, since the quality of the national teams participating is outstanding and they are part of the elite in taekwondo. Countries such as Turkey, Iran, the United States, Russia, Spain, Britain, Italy, Azerbaijan, Holland, Kazakhstan, Portugal, Guatemala, Venezuela, Serbia and many others, not forgetting many Spanish clubs, will make this Spanish Open a high level and a very difficult championship.
The presence of the World Taekwondo Federation President and Secretary General, Dr. Choue and Jean-Marie Ayer, respectively, gives this championship, organized by the Spanish Federation, a high standard class and even more significance.
