Thirteen countries participated in the previous edition of this International Taekwondo Open, however, for this event there are many national teams that have confirmed, feeling attracted mainly for its raking status.
The city of Toronto has hosted many important sporting events and will be the venue for the Pan American Games in 2015.
This event is not only limited to Senior competition level where G1 WTF World Ranking points are awarded, but also will be an event for Cadets, Juniors and Masters divisions, both in combat and poomsae.
After the Canada Open the next competition to award G1 WTF World Ranking points is the Swiss Open which will be held in the city of Lausanne from June 8 to 9.
