Five Countries will Compete in the 1st Taekwondo Open in Havana

A total of five countries will compete in the first Taekwondo Open of Havana, from April 4 to 7, revealed today Cuban weekly publication Jit in its digital edition.

Ecuador, Italy, Mexico, Dominican Republic and Cuba will participate in the Open, which technical congress and the umpire clinic will be made later next Wednesday and one day later, the combats they will begin in the Havana Sports City Coliseum.

 

In their opening date, the tournament will distribute medals in 46 and 62 kilograms in the feminine and in 54 and 74 kg of the masculine.

He also underlined the importance of the tournament as an that excellent training opportunity heading for the main commitment of the year: the World Championship in Puebla, Mexico, from July 15 to 21.
