The decision to use the system of “electronic voting” was made after all Member National Associations of the World Taekwondo Federation sent their respective email-vote from March 29 until April 11.
For some time, the WTF has used the “E-Vote” system or email-vote to speed up some decisions, a tool sanctioned by Article 7.11 of the WTF Statutes.
Chungwon Choue, WTF President, said to the member associations: “I am now pleased to inform you that you have approved the use of an electronic voting system by an overwhelming majority …”
Thus, when the WTF General Assembly holds its meeting on July, during the 21th (14th Women `s) World Taekwondo Championships, in Puebla 2013, will conduct the elections not in the traditional way, but through a modern electronic voting system.
“I thank all members of the WTF Council and the presidents of the member national association who participated in this important vote. Through your joint efforts, we have been able to achieve great voting turnout across five continents”, said Dr. Chungwon Choue.
