“Following recommendation from the WTF ad-hoc committee, we hereby announce that the following PSS Company was selected to provide PSS and related services at the 2013 WTF World Taekwondo Championships Puebla to be held on July 15-21, 2013 in the city of Puebla, Mexico.” said the letter sent by the Secretary General of the WTF sent to the WTF Member National Associations (MNA).

 

According to the statement the decision was taken in order to select the PSS supplier in the most transparent way, the ad-hoc committee looked into various key aspects such as continuity, operational experiences and economic value for MNAs.

 

Daedo and KP & P are currently the only two brands officially used for events of the World Taekwondo Federation (See: A New “Protector & Scoring System” Approved by the WTF) 

 

So from almost four months of Puebla 2013, the PSS that will be used has been announced, which is quite positive for the different selections, since no one knew for sure which was going to be used and this created uncertainty since the two PSS brands are different and don’t have a standardized system.
