The Olympic Bronze medalist in Taekwondo in London 2012, Helena Fromm was not able to participate in the competitions for the German Championship in Ingolstadt.
Helena was sad for not being able to compete, however her meniscus surgery is still too recent, last November. The doctors have forbidden her to compete and she was just a spectator and an ambassador for this Olympic sport during the competitions in Ingolstadt.
“It is too bad that I am not able to start competing in Ingolstadt, but my main goal this year is the World Championship in Mexico next July. That is why, I want to prepare myself well and not take any unnecessary risks with injuries. It feels good and relaxed being out of the attention and just watch my teammates´ combats”
Due to her excellent performance in London 2012, Fromm was elected in 2013 “The Sportswoman of the Year”.
