The 1st Europe-Asia Intercontinental Taekwondo Championships Moscow, Russia, santioned by the WTF, will be held at USZK-Universal Sport Complex, Moscow Russia on October 12.

 

With athletes from overall 8 countries including Thailand, Iran, Taiwan, Jordan participating, (The nominees for ETU hasn’t been announced yet), The individual competition has the same weight divisions as the Olympic weight divisions and the team competition consists of 4 teams.

 

(2 from Europe and 2 from Asia – one of the Europe teams can be team Russia)

    At 12 October Europe’s best athletes will participate at the first Euro –Asia Intercontinental Championships. The best athletes of Europe during the London 2012 Olympics are selected to fight off against team Asia.

    From 13 october on, the Russian Open taekwondo championships will kick off. ETU has arranged 10-15% reduction rates for air fares to Moscow if you fly with Lufthansa!

    Mr. Carlo Molfetta and Ms Jade Jones unfortunately cannot attend the event because of other obligations. Therefore, the second best Olympic athlete and bronze medal winner Ms. Marlene and the European Champion +87 kg Mr. Leonardo Basile are selected instead.
