Mexico’s female taekwondo stars hope for victory at Olympics

Mexico’s female taekwondo stars are intensely training for medals in anticipation of the 2012 London Olympics.

Mexico’s top female taekwondo athlete, Maria del Rosario Espinoza, is hoping for a gold medal repeat when she heads to London for the 2012 Olympics.

Espinoza, who took gold at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, will compete in the 67kg and up event.

The Olympian said she’s trying to maintain her focus and perspective.

Espinoza’s less experienced teammate, Janet Alegria, will compete in the 49-kg and lower event in London that begins on August 18.
