Uzbekistan to hold the next UTA Championships

Tashkent, Uzbekistan has been selected to host the 2014 Asia Taekwondo Championships at ATU's council meeting at the Rex hotel in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam on May 3, 2012.


This will be the second time that Uzbekistan’s held an international competition since the 2010 WTF Taekwondo Poomsae championships.

 

Latipov Abbos, Resident Vice President of Uzbekistan Taekwondo Association said “I am very happy for the news. I hope all the people will enjoy the culture and spirit of Uzbekistan during the visit.”

 

Baek Moon Jong, who is newly designated as Vice President of Uzbekistan Taekwondo Association also said “Being a first timer to host an international game, we have to admit, last time, we were not properly equipped. We are ready to present a perfect game now.”

 

During this meeting, the country to hold the 2013 Junior Taekwondo championships was also revealed. : Indonesia, which outvoted Bahrain and India 7-4-0.
