The late Dr. Choue was founder and honorary president of Kyung Hee University, 1st president of GCS (Goodwill Cooperation Society) International, and perpetual-president-emeritus of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP). He was also the architect of the U.N.’s International Day of Peace.

For those wishing to pay their respects, a memorial altar will be set up at the Grand Peace Palace in the Seoul campus of Kyung Hee University on February 19.

The funeral cortege is to leave from Kyung Hee University at 9:00 a.m. on February 23 and he will be buried at his family burial site in Sambong-ri, Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province.

He is survived by two sons and two daughters. WTF President Choue is the eldest.
