Korean Court Cancels July 25 Decision to Freeze WTF Bank Accounts

The Anyang Branch of Suwon Local District Court has informed the WTF on Dec. 19 of its decision to cancel its earlier decision to freeze the bank accounts of the WTF. With the decision, funds will be available for WTF MNA’s entitlements.

On July 25, 2011, the Anyang Branch of Suwon Local District Court accepted LaJUST’s request for freeze of the WTF bank accounts with LaJUST as creditor and WTF as debtor. The WTF appealed the court decision on Sept. 19.

On Nov. 28, 2011, the Seoul Central District Court rejected a LaJUST request for a second injunction to prohibit the use of non-LaJUST PSS at the Taekwondo Test Event for the London Olympic Games in London and the 2012 World Junior Taekwondo Championships scheduled for April 4-8, 2012 in Egypt.
