Aruba IOC member Ms. Noicole Hoevertsz sent a letter to WTF President on Nov. 2, saying “My many responsibilities, both sport and work related, take up so much of my daily agenda, that it would not be a wise nor correct decision for me to take up a formal position within your (WTF) organization.”
She, however, said “As a person who has been serving sport with passion and dedication for many years, I would like to continue assisting you and your organization in the further development of taekwondo.”
She also said, “I sincerely regret, due to the visit of the Royal Family of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to our country and the many commitments this entailed for me personally, I was unable to send you a reply sooner.”
WTF Secretary General Jin Suk Yang sent a letter to the Aruba IOC member on Nov. 2, in which he said, “Since the letter of appointment was sent out on October 20 after your meeting with WTF President Choue in Guadalajara, Mexico for the Pan American Games. As you mentioned in your correspondence, you were away from home and were not able to respond quickly to the letter. Our staff assumed that you accepted the position and your appointment was to be officially started on November 1, our staff zealously wanted to be certain that you were recognized accordingly.”
