Asian Qualification Tournament, new competition dates

Dear Colleagues,

Following our letter dated October 26, 2011 announcing indefinite postponement of Asian Qualification Tournament for London 2012 Olympic Games, we have been closely communicating with Asian Taekwondo Union and Taekwondo Association of Thailand to find new dates of the competitions.

Various aspects have been carefully taken into consideration to decide new dates including flooding situation of Bangkok, budgetary issue and training schedule of participating MNAs, other major events taking place and etc.

After careful contemplation, the WTF hereby confirms that the new competition dates of Asian Qualification Tournaments are November 26-27, 2011.

Detailed event schedule is attached herewith for your reference.

The flooding situation is not completely over yet at the moment but we have been advised by Taekwondo Association of Thailand that it is being improved. However, we are observing the situation very closely.
