The unity expressed in the letter sent to the WTF President, Dr. Choue, shows a total rejection to LaJust policies and vicious aggressions to the WTF after this Korean company was not elected as PSS supplier for the London Olympic Games 2012.

With only a month in between, America will have two significant sports events (The Pan American Games in Guadalajara and the Qualifying Games for London 2012 in Queretaro).  Although it was already confirmed that Daedo PSS will be used during the Qualifying Games, Mr. Ji Ho Choi had informed that PSS LaJust would  be used for the Pan American Games due to the fact that there was a contract signed years ago in which it was determined that LaJust would be used in all events held in America.

When asked about this situation, Mr. Choi, avoiding to speak clearly, told us that this contract had been signed by Cha Sok Park years ago, when he was PATU President.

Now the situation radically changes because supporting the use of LaJust is being against the WTF. As said in the supporting letter mentioned: “we urge you to take a strong stance against the aggressions by LaJust. In our opinions, the harmful acts by LaJust, including the communications sent directly to the IOC, seem designed to inflict severe damage on the WTF and, by extension, to the global Taekwondo Movement as a whole”.

The letter is longer, (transcription below) and as you will see, the Council Members are convinced that LaJust intention is to damage Taekwondo movement as a whole. The letter is also signed by PATU President and this would show his coherent support to his colleagues to support WTF and to reject LaJust legal actions.

Taking into consideration these facts, it would be assumed that LaJust PSS will not be used during the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, otherwise, why would Ji Ho Choi sign the  WTF supporting letter?

We, the WTF Council, want to express our appreciation and full support for you at this time of difficulty.

First, we want to clearly state that we have been impressed by the improvements that you have made to the WTF and Taekwondo Movement. We know that these improvements have strengthened the WTF’s position as part of the Olympic Family. We hope that you will continue your good work with the full commitment and resolve that you have continuously demonstrated.

Second, we urge you to take a strong stance against the aggressions by LaJust. In our opinions, the harmful acts by LaJust, including the communications sent directly to the IOC, seem designed to inflict severe damage on the WTF and, by extension, to the global Taekwondo Movement as a whole.

The timing of these attacks by LaJust, in this crucial period leading up to the 2012 Olympic Games in London, is intolerable, as are any such attempts to stop the progress of Taekwondo. It is also very unfortunate and regretful that the Korean courts have made such hasty decisions to block the operations of an International Sports Federation recognized by the IOC.

Third, we would like to remind you of the global outpouring of support our Member National Associations around the world gave to the WTF in Baku following LaJust’s first attack. Be assured that this support not only continues, but is strengthening in the face of LaJust’s recent actions. Our 200 Member National Associations will not allow this continuing damage to the Taekwondo Movement.
