Lopez, the five-time world taekwondo champion and the main rival to Britain’s Aaron Cook at London 2012, will compete at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs along with his brother Mark and sister Diana, who also medalled in Beijing.

Referred to as the “Muhammad Ali of taekwondo” by Cook, Lopez will be determined to win gold in London to make up for his disappointment in Beijing, where he won bronze.

“If there’s something that I have to constantly tell myself, it’s not to get a little overconfident or lackadaisical,” Lopez said recently.
