ATU - GUANGZHOU 2010153

Shocking Act of Deception by Chinese Taipei

In an amazing turn of events a Chinese Taipei player tried to pull a fast one over the taekwondo world.

.

The first day of the Taekwondo Championship at the 16th Asian Games started with a storm that had the capabilities of turning into a hurricane but fortunately was defused with a timely and prudent intervention of the taekwondo officials and the championship was able to weather the storm and pass through it safely.

Match No. 2108 in the Under 49 Kgs in the Female division had YANG Shu Chun from Chinese Taipei playing against VUThi Hau from Vietnam.

The match started with everything seemingly as normal as it should in the first 45 seconds of the first round until the engineer from Manufacturer of the Protective Scoring System (PSS), LaJust, saw something unusual about the way the Chinese Taipei player was scoring and the look of her socks.

At this point he asked the center referee to stop the match to check the special socks that are worn by all the players when using the electronic system.

As requested by the engineer, the referee stopped the match to check the player’s socks when he noticed that the Chinese Taipei player had illegally added 2 extra sensors to the heal of her socks.

As stipulated in the WTF Competition Rules & Regulations he was obliged to stop the match and declare the player from the Chinese Taipei as the loser by “illegal manipulation of the PSS System”.

This brought on a fierce protest by the Chinese Taipei coaches and head of the team who were claiming they were innocent and the player refused to leave the court while the Chinese Taipei team representatives filed an official protest with the Competition Supervisory Board (CSB).

Therefore the WTF Technical Delegate from China and the CSB members from Iran, Singapore, Philippines and Korea along with ATU President, WTF Secretary General, ATU Secretary General and the Chairman of the Referee Committee as observers then quickly held a meeting to make an evaluation of the evidence and the protest.

After a lengthy review and assessment of the evidence and talking with the LaJust engineer, the center referee in the match and receiving their signed affidavit of the incident the illegal act committed by the Chinese Taipei they gave a chance to the President of the Chinese Taipei Taekwondo Associations and Head of the Team to present their side of this reprehensible episode of manipulation of the Rules & Regulations.

After listening to the Chinese Taipei officials and taking into consideration that this act may have been the work of a few and the rights of other athletes from Chinese Taipei team, the WTF appointed Technical Delegate and the Competition Supervisory Board decided to only ban the player and the 2 coach involved and not the whole Chinese Taipei team from the remaining of the championship and make the following recommendation to the Asian Taekwondo Union:

.

* The Chinese Taipei player, coaches to be banned until their case is heard by the World Taekwondo Federation Ethics Committee.

* The Chinese Taipei Taekwondo Association and its officials to be investigated further by the WTF Ethics Committee and the proper punishment be handed down for the incident to stop any future attempts to manipulate the WTF Competition Rules & Regulations.

This is the first time I comment on your site, but I’ve been keeping up with your work for a while now. I admire the passion with which you tell your stories and hope someday I can do the same. Love

baiyaan needs to go get a life in reality instead of dissing on everyone’s grammar on the web in his little lonely room.

CrabTasterMan is very angry as he should be as a no-life-hwagyo-loser.
Did Koreans burn down your jjajangmyon house? They should.

CrabTasterMan¡¯s chinglish is very interesting.(¡°making bigotry¡±¡¦ haha, priceless)
He obviously is a puny little jjajang. I doubt he can even speak Korean. All his ESL errors are Chinese types.

These are two posts that are blocked by your friends on his site.
Good job, cowards.

CrabTasterMan’s chinglish is very interesting.(“making bigotry”… haha, priceless) He obviously is a puny little jjajang. I doubt he can even speak Korean. All his ESL errors are Chinese types.

Did Koreans burn down your jjajangmyon house? They should.

The official Website
The Asian TAEKWONDO Union block Taiwanese’s IP ,
all Taiwanese cannot visit the website from TAIWAN

The Asian TAEKWONDO Union have been very mean to Taiwanese people, and very unprofessional.

@Dreamwalker try this one: http://tinyurl.com/2fhcaml

Check out one of those total war forums then you can see his typical “start racist topics -> call people names -> use superficial errors and the weather of the day as his support -> call people names” until he eventually gets banned. He speaks using a flowchart or something. Two years and still no creativity whatsoever. Pretty sad really.

Oh wow… years ago? He’s pretty experienced then. But flawed logic can never come out on top anyway XP Any links to the previous arguments he made William Feng?

@CrabTasterMan Thank you for being sensible and actually bringing an interesting issue to light. I urge fellow Taiwanese to point their angers at the people actually responsible for the match decision (ie: ATU, match hosts, etc) not Koreans in general. Don’t stoop to baiyaan’s level.

As an aside, I actually googled baiyaan’s name up. Turns out he’s being trolling on multiple forums years ago. Always comes in with this obsessive racism against Chinese and Taiwanese, inflammatory comments and third grader logic. We might have someone that should go see a shrink on our hands. :S

@CrabTasterMan: Thank you, and I’m sorry for the previous seemly blanketing statements about Koreans. It’s just my way of showing baiyaan how disrespectful he is towards others and how it would feel like on the receiving end of the insults.

I for one, have many Korean and Chinese friends here. They are amazing people, and are by no means inferior to Taiwanese academically. With the aforementioned Edward being totally GODLIKE participating in the IMO and getting a 98 percentile in SAT when we have a totally different education system: the NCEA.

It is nice to see people post comments based on proper logic and are respectful towards people who have different opinions or are from different races.

Yes and they conveniently manage to miss out the fact that THE FUCKING SENSORS WERE REMOVED BEFORE THE MATCH EVEN STARTED ANYWAY… In Australia, when several comedians managed to get into the APEC summit using passes which were clearly displayed to not even be “imitations” they said words such as “unauthorised” on them. They could not be charged because they displayed these passes which were clearly not designed to deceive and the police let them through. Similarly, if you use approved socks and pass inspection TWICE and then take out the “extra sensors” before the match when asked, following a similar line of logic you could not be disqualified. The decision implemented at this competition is as fucking backwards as your baiyaan’s non-existent brain is.

That said, I understand how Yang’s disqualification is unfair and all, but I do know that Taiwanese be hatin on Koreans for a lot of things that they don’t deserve, and this be one of them, it seems so far to me. Why ppl be crackin’ Samsung LEDs as soon as this Taekwondo match was over?

I think, one big reason they be hatin’ S. Korea so much is that they don’t realize their situation in world affairs. They are a small country, endangered by China, yet too haughty to think neighbors as anyone but inferiors because of the goddamn 華夷 prejudice right out of their stance on Chinese history. Compare history books from 2, 3 decades ago to now. It was more honest and honest and fair to Korea. No wtf boundaries that include Korea what obviously entire countries went to WAR with China at that time period, or Great Wall spilling into the Korean Peninsula… mentions of wars between them were not omitted, etc, more spotlight. I even know that even BEFORE 1992 when Korea cut relations to Taiwan, Koreans, or even ethnic Chinese from Korea, were held in contempt when they laid foot on Taiwan. Best example was Sun Houqing (sp?), former chef to Korean Prez Park Jung-hee. The treatment was bad enough to make him go back to Korea and never return to Taiwan again. Even his son knows about his father’s experiences with that and never makes any plans to settle there.

Taiwan is not China. The best stance it should have is to be calm and wise and look for friends. But yeah, I know, what the government tries to do isn’t always what the dumb ignorant masses of people do. It’s like that for many countries. (But history textbooks are government sanctioned, are they not?)

To all: don’t mind Baiyaan, peeps. When another Korean calls him out on it, he’s pretty much lost the fight. If I bring my friends here, he’ll definitely be seen as a 초딩 (choding), or “Grade Schooler”,a word similar in meaning to “NOOB,” focusing on the meaning implying he has grade schooler (elementary) mentality, and can’t make good arguments and is just hatin’ all around, drunk in his self-imposed greatness. Soon enough, he’ll either become emo, or find some other 초딩s and graduate to become 개초딩s (dog + choding), the worst kind of NOOBs in Korea.

You are a disgrace to Korea, for making such bigotry for foreigners to see. The best way to salvage national honor is to apologize for ur foolishness. If I could apologize in your place, I would. Now I’m not saying you should not argue with others, I’m saying you should stop being such a NOOB. You be hatin’ on the stupid and wrong things.

Baiyaan mentioned inferior genes.

WTF. You are what we call a 초딩 (choding).
Srsly, gtfo. You are blaming the losses on genes, and then Yang’s defeat to an entire population of 24000000? You are the one who is lacking brain cells.. due to genetic defects. Racist bigot. I bet you are the type that gripes about America being racist, and never realizing you are 10 times worse than the average racist American guy. Ppl like you make events between two people of other nations and generalize it to the entire populace. Nationality has as little meaning as race. They only mean something significant if ppl think they do and base their actions on that perception.

@baiyaan: somehow missed this

“The little William Hung kept crying
“North Korea was disqualified from IMO this year for… CHEATING”

Yet your very own source(most likely)says

“North Korea was also disqualified for cheating at the 51st IMO in 2010 on very flimsy evidence.[20] Recently there has been an uproar over the 2010 disqualification, with many team leaders, observers, students, etc. urging reinstatement of North Korea’s scores.[21]”

And be very proud of your golds at shooting pool, what an athletically demanding sport. LOL man.

Maybe it hurts a bit when you get beaten by a country half of whose population is starving, but blame your inferior genetics, not someone else.

By the way your Olympic record is not improving at all even though you are now heavily investing in sports. LOL It is like casting pearls before whom…”

And no, my source does not say North Korea was disqualified based on flimsy evidence. My friend Edward participated in the IMO himself, a Chinese representing the New Zealand team, (again just to let you know that not only does Chinese have the best Maths team, we are also helping other countries. And after looking back at Korea… LOL) And yeah their answers were virtually the same as the Chinese team’s answers. And I know you’re gonna say maybe the Chinese copied off them? But the fact is they were still the best even after North Korea was disqualified.

And yes gaining gold medal in pool is a tremendous feat, you tell me why it is worse than other sports? It shows that we have people that are top in their specialised fields. And if you disagree, then I’ll laugh at you Koreans for being so obsessed with Starcraft, devoting channels and tournaments on one single game. And what do you call it? E-Sports? What an athletically demanding sport. LOL man.

And yeah maybe it hurts even more when your ship gets sunken by a country half of whose population is starving in your own territory. So stop whining everywhere and get America to stick up for you; blame your inferior genetics, not someone else.

And “you are now heavily investing in sports.”??? Since when did I say we invested heavily in sports? You sir, are AGAIN commenting on stuff based on your own assumptions without appropriate research. I said
“the the government virtually gave no funding until recent years.”
Did I say heavily? The government didn’t give a shxt about sports in the past, they took notice and gave ‘some’ funding in recent years, or else why would Taiwanese athletes go to America for fundings? As it has happened many times in the past.

@baiyaan: My English in sufficient for daily living and for arguing online which is enough. I’m more focused in getting real facts and useful stuff in my head than worrying about every single word in a block of text, which is exactly the opposite to what you’re doing.

Simply pathetic. It was not a typo;it is a common ESL error.
Your English is really bad, even worse than Feng’s.

@William Feng: mm, I know, thanks for the suggestion, I just think it’s fun cause I’m bored XP Oh and I don’t want him to believe that everyone else thinks like him… so yeah ^^

@baiyaan: and yes please read carefully. I did admit that it was a typo. I just used it in the right way this time, and provided some evidence that it is right. Anyway, r and w are not that far apart unless your using the other version of keyboard.

And no, I haven’t been to ESL classes so you can drop the ESL nonsense. True that English is my second language, but I guess it’s yours as well? Anyway I learnt English myself before coming to New Zealand, and have only been to school’s English classes before that, which everyone know that it’s not very helpful.

To little ESL morons
Haven’t you learned the distinction between participle and gerund in your ESL classes?

‘raging-war-against-al-qaeda’ means “the war is raging…” and the present participle is acting as an adjective.
You cannot “rage war” simply because ‘rage’ as a verb is intransitive.

Not that you would comprehend …

I will even tell you what you were thinking;it should have been “… waged war …”

@Dreamwalker Talking to baiyaan is like barking to a dog. It’s pointless. He’s just here to troll. Just save your strength and tell him he’s a raging retard cuz that’s the only thing that can get across to him.

@baiyaan: Your way at picking on grammar and spelling just shows your inadequacy of arguing back, and communicating believable point of views and opinions. Sure it may be a mistake, but you seem to have forgotten the real purpose of language is to get across what you what you want to say in the form of understandable format.
You sir have clearly understood what I was trying to say and proceed to ignore several hundred words due to one misspelling amongst them which is below 1% of the words typed.
On the other hand, while you are typing grammatically correct comments, your substance is lacking due to your lack of research. Which is far worse than my typos

If you think you can even make a point to anyone in the forum given your arguing method, then I must say your attempts are futile in this ‘raging’ war we are having.

http://www.truth-out.org/in-yemen-us-assisted-raging-war-against-al-qaeda-intensifies63620

‘raging-war-against-al-qaeda’

I also see that Koreans use ‘anal plugs’ to gain height, I learnt something from you today my boy. Cause I was wondering and puzzled how height could be related to anal plugs, which I must say I have never used one before. So if you tried it please tell me how it feels like. Cause in fact from doing some ‘RESEARCH’ I cannot see how anal plugs can increase one’s height.

This comment from you can actually be referred back to one of your previous comments of jealousy, surely you can remember? Don’t insult me with some ‘little William Hung’ gibberish that people have no idea where it came from.

A delusional chink said “chinamen and gooks are so dirty …we taiwanese female”

Go look up the OED. You Chinese are gooks too. AND CHINKS.

chinamen and gooks are so dirty that they can do anything dark to cheat to win a game. they cooperated with each other to frame we taiwanese female taekwondo athlete 楊淑君 by planting fake evidence on her and chinese tv channel CCTV as well as korean media deliberately play fake news reports to discredit her! and asian taekwondo union feel apprehensive because they are not on solid ground so they ban their website from taiwanese IP! shameless!!

He just does not let me go.
“…raged war against…”

Do you really live in an English speaking country?
Do you really trust what you THINK you read?

Little Willam Hung keeps saying
“I am 189 cm tall,…”

Sure, but take off that anal plug and measure yourself.

@baiyaan: “Your wra~~~~~~~~~~~th???? I am so~~~~~~~~~~~ scared.” Why yes, and you really should be, cause once we stop shipping computing materials and accessories, big Korean companies like LG will suffer a huge blow.

Or in case you’re not scared, then quit whining on this forum and take our rage like a man.

Also I’d like to point out you Koreans are nobody either, and you also count as nothing. At least our government has once raged war against the axis with the allies… I really don’t know what Koreans were doing by then… or rather, in the whole history of mankind.

@baiyaan: and also if calling people midget gives you a sense of superiority, then you’re unfortunately mistaken, as I am 189 cm tall, and also I’m in New Zealand which although an island, is larger than both North and South Korea added up. So I’m really confused about your obsession in regards to size as that will not help you in anyway, both in this case of in the real world. What matters is what’s in your head not size of this or that.

And if you can’t even relate ethically to ethnically when Korean is placed right behind… I would then guess you are the one that’s incoherent.

kinda hilarious that Taiwanese think they count for something.

LOL. You are nobody.

Your wra~~~~~~~~~~~th???? I am so~~~~~~~~~~~ scared.

@baiyaan

“Whenever some bunghole says something like “There are tons of hard evidences via Internet…” I just ignore the rest.”

Yes and you’re that arrogant and up yourself that you fail to realise the link provided by ‘Justice-Fulfilled-Against-Korea’ that is highlighted in blue, and so visual outstanding.

You, my friend, are living in a confined world of fraud and lies. You will, in my opinion, be far more convincing if you can
1) provide link/quotes or other evidences in your posts.
2)Read carefully what others say.
3) Try to answer other people’s questions to the best of your ability as opposed to fully ignore them.
4) Do a FULL research first before you comment, from all sources
5) Consider what argument that others may come up, thus adjust your posts and attacks accordingly to minimize the flaws in your otherwise astoundingly biased comments

I for one, have seen the Korean version, The BBC version, the Chinese version, the Taiwanese version. And from what I see the Chinese version is just total lies, rearranging the timeline and claiming Yang took off the sensors after the game has started, as in when they start to gain points. While Korean version demonstrates total puzzlement in regards to Taiwan’s rage at Koreans, similar to the situation you’re in my friend, failing to realise the reputaton you have built up over the years, not to mention the Taekwondo sport is still largely controlled in the hands of the Korean. And the BBC news and Taiwan’s news support each other fairly well.

I was just going to ignore the incoherent ESL drivel from the perpetually lying island midget but what the hell is “ethically Korean”? I thought it was just a typo but he keeps saying that.

@baiyaan: So I see you’re unable to provide answers to my arguments. Oh well, I accept your defeat.

And I’ll also say FVCK YOU MOTHER HUGGER, cause the socks she wore was 100% approved by WTF, and the old version does say to stick sensors behind heels, this is supported by the industry itself. Fact is they changed the rules on spot and tried to claim that they sent an email to all competitors, but are reluctant to even prove or show evidence of it. Also the fact that old version was not allowed was not stated in the rules, and you actually think that such a simple email in regards to an international sport is enough? Cause evidently the Taiwan Taipei team didn’t receive such letter, and the fact whether such letter was sent in the first place has still not been proven. The old version socks are also legit till may 2012 as stated in legal documents, which in this case saying it’s illegal is already an outrageous act of fraud.

Also if you know the whole story, which you didn’t as I pointed out from the very start, Yang was wearing the new version of socks which was 100% none controversial. She was the INSTRUCTED to take put another sock cause her feet were too small and that was the smallest size for the new version. I’d say the whole thing was a set up and you are blaming someone innocent, again without knowing the whole story.

Also the reason I argued about our nations in the first place was cause you brought it up. That guy is in fact, ethically a Korean. However I do agree that he played a rather small part in this particular incident, and yes most of the rage are directed at the Chinese. However, you should also blame yourself for establishing such a bad reputation, which is now causing you problems as this incident is just a fuse to the feeling of injustice and rage that has been piled up against you over the many years. And now you can feel the full force of our wrath.

Whenever some bunghole says something like “There are tons of hard evidences via Internet…” I just ignore the rest.

The little William Hung kept crying

LOL It is like casting pearls before whom…

There are tons of hard evidences via Internet showing Korean in WTF and ATU fake this whole incidence while justice is fulfilling as people are looking into these facts. Surprsingly baiyaan does not even care to check the facts but puts on pages of emotional, shameless arguments which only make itself a slapstick. Well, not every Korean is like baiyaan who, indeed, need to wash its mouth, but people like baiyaan adds more “credits” to the stereo-type that Korean do whatever it takes, including deceptions, to keep winning in athletic world because they cannot afford to lose. Check the fact in below CNN website,
http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-519884

The referee… was not Korean. Not even an ethnic Korean. Not even a half Korean. He does not even look East Asian. His name is Fernandez Stephen Estanislao.(go to the official site and see for yourselves how he looks)

The judges were from
Philipine (referee)
China (assistant referees)
Tajikstan
Kuwait

The engineer from LaJust was probably an ethnic Korean, not necessarily a Korean national. He just did his job as an employee of LaJust which is a multi-national enterprise.

You want an apology from Koreans?
I say “fvck you to you all little Taiwanese”.

Yang or whatever is her name is the one to blame for most part. Was the decision harsh? Maybe, but she is responsible for observing the rules and regulations of the sport.

If a swimmer comes to a race with a non-approved suit she is likely to be disqualified right on the spot even if she passed the initial inspection. People get banned even for taking certain cold medicine.

Just stop crying and stop feeling sorry for yourselves. You are just short and little; nothing in the world will change that.

And why is it that the focus of all this hoopla is on Korea, not China? Do you have any sense of shame? This lately popular rhetorical question among Taiwanese should actually be directed at yourselves.

You Taiwanese are simply the lowest, the most vile and disgusting clob of wasted organic material in the world.

@baiyaan: Small population as in Taiwanese =.= Well and just a note… North Korea was disqualified from IMO this year for… CHEATING!!! In case you didn’t know. I guess it’s just so deep down in your Korean blood, it’s like without cheating you can’t achieve anything.

“Without Taekwondo Taiwan would still be without a single Olympic gold. In terms of athletic ineptitude Taiwanese have no equal.”
And yes, you’re right, we suck so bad at sports… Koreans just makes us look good. Getting beaten in your own national sport and all that. Koreans are actually more of a athletic ineptitude, stop disgracing your own race while you try to laugh at others.

And when you say bogus sport you consider the 15th Asian Game Doha as bogus as well? Cause in fact we acquired 9 gold medals in that single competition, including Taekwondo, Karate, Pool etc with pool being an international sport, Taekwondo originating from Korea and Karate from Japan (I suppose)? And you’re saying this is all China’s doing? From the very first of your posts you have made so many mistakes that it’s just appalling. Please do some more research so you can actually convince people that you’re right.

(And again questions from the previous page still remain unanswered, with support for your previous statements required)

The little William Hung cried ” given our small population, when focused academically, over half of the international maths olympia competition is won by Chinese and Taiwanese”.

Hilarious. China having a small population… hahahaahahaha.

And in IMO Korea beat Taiwan 10 times or so in a row. Korea even beat Taiwan in average IQ. Even the starving north Koreans have been beating Taiwan in IMO recently.

Most of Taiwanese golds have been in bogus sports which Chinese created a lot of in this edition of Asian Games.

Without Taekwondo Taiwan would still be without a single Olympic gold. In terms of athletic ineptitude Taiwanese have no equal.

Dreamwalker is trying to be really cute.

What he quoted is a private opinion of … “MORRIS DALLA COSTA, QMI Agency”, at an internet version of the sleazest tabloid in … CANADA, the premier football power of the world.

LOL.

I suppose you need all that charade when you are short like all Taiwanese.

@baiyaan: Look at this and say what you said again.
http://www.torontosun.com/sports/worldcup/2010/2010/05/31/14201731.html
“There are more than a few incidents involving the Japan/South Korea 2002 World Cup, which was a smorgasbord of cheating and controversy.
There was a theory that the ultimate goal was to ensure South Korea advanced as far as possible.
The Koreans had virtually every decision go their way.”

Like you admitted, Taiwan is starting to get Gold medals these years. You might not know the fact that we Taiwanese were never even focused on sports,the the government virtually gave no funding until recent years. However, given our small population, when focused academically, over half of the international maths olympia competition is won by Chinese and Taiwanese, and we also totally pwn Koreans in other academic fields as well. And as mentioned above, Koreans got medals although maybe not from cheating most of the time, but you guys have definitely earned medals that shouldn’t be yours. Cheating and then coming back to tell us honest people that we suck just shows that you’re not a person to be respected. SO I suggest that you should be the one to shut the hell up instead of telling mouse to do so.

And yes, the world has acknowledged Korea’s cheating habits as well, so yeah all of us will shoo, and no will will play Korea in the future, go play amongst yourselves and see who can cheat harder. Period.

(You still haven’t answered all my previous questions, are you finding it hard to argue back?)

Mouse:
Listen shorty, just shut the hell up. Korea did not even enter that wt division. Korea had NOTHING to gain from it.

Oh, and to whoever it was that wrote this article, funny how you left out that the accusations were proven false by video evidence. I also find it very telling that you described the “intervention” in question as “timely and prudent,” considering that it only came after it became indisputably clear that Hau couldn’t touch Shu Chun if her life depended on it… Unless you count “being kicked in the head” as “touching.” 🙂

@baiyaan

Oh, the Taiwanese are smaller mentally and physically than Koreans?

Oops, a Taiwanese girl just kicked the fucking shit out of your Korean candidate anyway. Witness as China and Korea trip all over themselves to protect their candidates from international embarrassment by keeping her from destroying them without even breaking a sweat.

Video evidence clearly shows that not only did she not cheat, she didn’t even have any reason to. But I guess it’s too much to ask someone as irrational as you to face photographic evidence. Well, I don’t know, maybe you’re a blind person. In which case, you can ask a seeing person to watch the video for you and describe vividly how embarrassing the Korean candidate looked while she fell on her ass over and over. Oh, and to see that the extra sensors that the Taiwanese candidate was accused of using weren’t on her feet, I guess. 🙂

“You have no idea how badly and wide known that Koreans CHEAT internationally”

LOL and because you don’t cheat, supposedly, you had had 0 olympic gold up until 2004 or so? Wait… not even an Asian Games gold until recently. That is really pathetic for a nation of almost 25 millions.

Your whole race is athletically pathetic. Even China, when one considers the size of her humongous population. Even 1.5 billion pygmies would be better at athletic events than Chinese.

If China’s population were less than 30 millions where Taiwan is now would be where China should be.

This is just a simple, pathetic case of jealousy. Koreans don’t consider you as rivals, not even close. I mean the whole idea is simply laughable. Most Koreans don’t even know where Taiwan is and the rest think that it is the same as Thailand, a fellow Southeast Asian country in the eyes of Koreans.

Go away. Shoo. Koreans don’t want to play with you.

@baiyaan: And I am just WTF, man.

“Taiwanese’ harrassing Korean players whenever they play in Taiwan.” This sentence will get you flamed so hard. You have no idea how badly and wide known that Koreans CHEAT internationally in Olympics and other important sports, particularly Taekwondo. However Taiwanese are not particularly known for cheating which immediately sets them apart from Koreans, and your futile attempt at defaming us without evidence shows again why you support this article of lies.

Back to previous arguments.

Again you have assumed that dog meat is bad, on your own preference. Dogs are not a protected species, unlike whales that Japanese consume like no other. You are again, criticizing others based on what you think is right, completely disregarding the culture and the opinion of others. Give me one reason why eating dogs is a bad thing other than morality, cause like I said, people who have done sex before marriage should be hanged in my opinion, based on morality. However, it is hard for me to come up with hard prove that sex before marriage is bad in other ways, maybe that the man can take no responsibility in the future? Thus even though I am utterly against them, I still respect what they think. You on the other hand, hold something that your culture believes and hold it against the Chinese, which I think is totally inappropriate.
And no, I have never heard Chinese people mocking other people for eating dogs, how about you give us an example? Cause I do know the Chinese eat dogs, and again refer to what I said above, this is only bad in your opinion, and I doubt whether you can even come up with an argument why dogs should not be consumed.
And yes I have already assumed that the Chinese eat humans, since I’ve never seen it in real life before, but have heard about it. So I don’t know the point of your first paragraph.
Also by food of the same league I referred to either both consumable or non consumable, and are of the same standard. You might as well compare steak to feces and then tell me how far superior steak is while disregarding the many other food that could have been listed.
As for surgery, most of the Korean females I’ve came across have done surgery before, in contrast to your statement about the Taiwanese. How many Taiwanese friends do you have? Cause I have many Korean, Chinese friends, and I can only say some of them are taller than each other with no apparent height differences. and statistically wise, the mean may not always be the representative of the whole population, how about we compare the upper and lower quartiles as well?
And finally, it does not matter what Koreans think about who’s Chinese or not, as Mongolia is divided up a few decades back, with inner Mongolia being a part of China. And your past 4-5 millenia is also absurd, and further before then you might just as well admit that we’re all Africans.

A reminder, you’ve missed out many questions I asked before, please refer back to them and answer accordingly, such as the “origins blah blah blah has already been proven by others to have been completely fabricated” still requires support. And also I have to remind you of the fact the flawed argument you keep putting yourself in, such as Cannibalism and consumption of dogs are not allowed without providing hard reasons. Everything are just opinion of either yours or others and might not the held the same for people from different cultures. Like I said Cannibalism may have been approved by God himself.

And I am just LOLROF, man. In China human meat had market prices as I described. You cannot have it if it was “only consumed by a few”. Can’t you just admit the academically proven fact that is very well attested in historical texts and other references?

And yes, it was every bit relevant since you keep resorting to that “Kimchi” and dog meat stuff. Well… Chinese eat dog meat like no other ethnicity. There is nothing funnier than ethnic Chinese making fun of other people for eating dogs, yet this has been the default mode of Taiwanese’ harrassing Korean players whenever they play in Taiwan.

In many parts of China dog meat is often a dinner. There are hundreds of pictures of Chinese women inspecting cleaved dog bodies that are to be put on her dinner table later in the evening. In Korea dog meat is rarely, if ever(not in modern times), cooked in the house. It is just a delicacy or aphrodisiacs for some men during particular days of summer or medicine at other times, and it is always served in a special restaurant.

Finally Koreans consider Chinese to be Southeast Asians, not East Asians. It was only in the last 4-5 millenia that you made it up north.

That is also the opinion of the Mongols and others outside China.(and inside China they just keep their mouths shut)

“Clearly you have no idea the the world record tallest person is a Chinese, and forgot to take into account the many artificial changes that MOST Koreans do to their bodies.”

Geez, China has 30 times the population of South Korea. That may have something to do with it. Not that you would understand the underlying concept but I am just trying…
And… the tallest person is a Mongol and Mongols do not consider themselves to be Chinese. Sorry.

And cosmetic surgery increasing height? You are clinically delusional and fit right into that stereotype of Taiwanese as high strung, obstinate and strident gadflies.

“On a side note, I find it quite amusing that you juxtapose Kimchi to human meat in the first place, as if they’re foods in the same league.”

I am sure you find it difficult to comprehend since Kimchi is not food for you while human meat is.

It is the other way around for me and for most non-Chinese people of the world but I just took a gamble that you might be able to comprehend the concept at least. My failure.

P.S. As for Key Ray Chong’s book, most major universities in the US have the book. I borrowed it from the university library when I was a grad student.

@baiyaan Also regarding Cannibalism even though I’m against it, we must realise the fact that it’s only practised by a few, which cannot be put against all the people of a particular race.

In addition, though it might be unacceptable in regards to modern morality, no one has proven any malicious effects from it, or maybe I’ve somehow missed it out. Anyway, from religious point of view, apparently it is not considered as a bad thing as stated in the Bible

“Deuteronomy 28:53-57 (also Lev 26:29)Because of the suffering that your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you…” and “Lamentations 4:10 With their own hands compassionate women have cooked their own children, who became their food”
Also stories have been told in buddhism about cannibalism as well. Surely from a patriot’s point of view God can never be wrong, which according to statistics, at least over 30% of people strongly believe the God they believe in, and take the bible literally.

This also confirms to the fact about the previous ‘narrow minded’ statement, while most people may consider cannibalism is wrong, you must realise others may not think so, and in fact you might be wrong. I for one, am strongly against sex before marriage, however I do realise that most people in modern days don’t think like me and I respect them even though I disagree. I think it’ll be helpful if you adopt my way of treating others as well.

@baiyaan: Well I’ve seen some pictures of the cannibalism as well, so I’m going to assume that cannibalism does exist in China, however there is still a possibility that it was fabricated. That aside, your comprehension ability truly amazes me as I’d believe someone like you would be able to see the main point of my post was to point out you can’t judge something when you don’t know the whole story, from many different point of views.

Your arrogant mind is clearly demonstrated from your claims of “pettiest minded small people in the world, both physically and mentally.” and “That Chinese, especially Taiwanese, are small physically”. Clearly you have no idea the the world record tallest person is a Chinese, and forgot to take into account the many artificial changes that MOST Koreans do to their bodies.

Also I would like to know where this is supported. “origins blah blah blah has already been proven by others to have been completely fabricated” As after searching around the internet, I was unable to find a believable article on it. First, China does not need to do such a nuisance act as they have no real hate towards the Koreans in the first place, such might be directed at the Japanese but not Koreans. Also it benefits them in no way anyway. So please shed some light on that please, and I apologise beforehand on my inadequacy in finding it myself.

On a side note, I find it quite amusing that you juxtapose Kimchi to human meat in the first place, as if they’re foods in the same league.

If you Taiwanese(ie a mixture of southern Chinese and Kuomintang Chinese) are even half-decent people you should be at least apologetic toward native people(such as Ami, Atayal, Paiwan …) of Taiwan who all but perished by now due to your insatiable appetite for their meat.

Read the aforementioned “Cannibalism in China” by prof. Chong.

Dreamwalker: Thanks for your candid admission that Chinese are cannibalistic. Professor Key Ray Chong distinguishes “survival cannibalism” from “learned cannibalism”.

“while the Chinese people are not particularly different from other peoples as far as the practice of “survival cannibalism” is concerned, they also have a unique form of cannibalism which he terms “learned cannibalism.””

Of course even in this area Chinese are not unique as there is ritualistic cannibalism all around the world.

However Chinese are UNIQUE perhaps as the only people in the world who had consumed it for the nutritional value and delicacy.

The rest of garbage about Koreans’ claiming such such origins blah blah blah has already been proven by others to have been completely fabricated by Chinese so I won’t even go there.

Hank C: Thanks for your pompous advice but on the other hand if you live in the US, you should brush up on your grammar.

“anger towards Korean” means anger directed at the Korean language even in the most charitable interpretation and I never implied that.

@baiyaan: Our immense rage is directed at Koreans due to the many scandals done throughout the years in the particular sport, do some research and you’ll realise this FACT.

Also have you ever tried human meat? If not then you are in NO position to say Kimchi is better cause you’ve never tasted it before, as most of the time reality is different to theory. Cannibalism happens in other countries as well, with news a few years ago reporting of a Japanese teacher eating his students. This may overthrow your argument that Kimchi is better. In addition, we have many other foods that can pwn Kimchi’s ass, you’re just too arrogant, thus you ignore them. All in all, your narrow mindedness makes you seem like a joke.

And by the way, that initial judge who told Yang to get off the playing field IS ethically Korean, just like how some Singapore and Malaysia people can be considered Chinese. And also Korea has these ridiculous claims that many famous Chinese historical characters are Korean including the likes of Confucius, and famous poets. There was also this claim that suggested that Buddha was Korean as well, check the past news and you’ll see. When juxtaposed with these previous events and facts, it seems pretty hilarious that this time they claimed the judge is not Korean when he is.

Baiyaan,

What you said, a blanket derogatory comment about a group of people, is a classic example of racist statement. If you live in the U.S., you should be careful of what you say about other ethnic groups, especially since you don’t appear to recognize what a racist statement is. You could get into a lot of trouble.

When confronted with your mistake, you did exactly what the secretary generals at ATU and WTF did: refuse to recognize the mistake.

Throwing eggs at elementary school where innocent children attend is despicable. You have a point that the anger towards Korean by Taiwanese people is irrational. Nevertheless, your action is no different from this irrational anger.

Lai: That Chinese, especially Taiwanese, are small physically is a statistical fact, not a racial slur. Even northern Chinese are still substantially smaller than Koreans.

And if attacking grade school children is not bigotry what is?

REF : baiyaan says:20 November, 2010 at 23:32I think there is nothing funnier than these Taiwanese uttering racial slurs toward Koreans especially “Kimchi stuff”.
baiyaan says:21 November, 2010 at 0:02 I think Taiwanese are the pettiest minded small people in the world, both physically and mentally.

~~~ You sound like a racialist yourself ~~~
since you dont like so-called “Taiwanese’s racial slurs”, why did you do the same thing to Taiwanese?
isnt that weird???? isnt it despicable?????
I think these Taiwanese are hilarious.
None of the referees were Korean;the manin referee often accused of being Korean does not even look East Asian.
Hong Sungchon was not on the judges’ panel. He MAY have been one of the members of the committee who decided Yang’s disqualification. But if he was, he was just one of 9 or so many members who decided it. Besides, it is not even clear that he is a Korean national even though it appears that he is an ethnic Korean. It is generally believed that he has a Philipin passport which may have added to the confusion because the main referee was a Philipino.
And LAjust is not a Korean company as even the very name suggests. Koreans had been training with Daedo mostly based in Spain up until 2 months ago and that is the reason for their poor showing in this edition of Asian Games.(Iran immensely benifited on the other hand because they were on it for 4 years)
Oh yeah and the engineer who first spotted the illegal equipment had a Korean last name(and an English first name. most likely a Korean American), probably not even a Korean national. So this is it?
The next time you feel that your favorite soccer team got screwed by a referee, blame England.
I think Taiwanese are the pettiest minded small people in the world, both physically and mentally.
I think there is nothing funnier than these Taiwanese uttering racial slurs toward Koreans especially “Kimchi stuff”.
I think Kimchi is better food than human meat that Chinese had been eating all the way up to 30 years ago or so.
See Key Ray Chong’s “Cannibalism in China”.
In fact he mentions that Chinese literally ate the Taiwanese natives who now represent only 2 percent of the population. 98 percent of today’s Taiwanese are invaders from the mainland after the 16th century or so.
Oh, Key Ray Chong was an ethnic Chinese(distinguished professor of U Penn). If he lied he would have nothing to gain from it.
The price of human meat flutuated in China just like any other meat. When human flesh became abundant(due to mass execution etc.) the price went down. LOL man.
Up to now already 4 days,I do doubt there’s no any qualified people in this federation.Video is obvious.She complied with the game rule honestly.
Who have the authority to insult her wihtout to be responsible for it?
I absolutely can’t accept her tear and Taiwan’s reputation be insulted.
Someone need to pay for it then get out of the xxxxing position.
Where is justice ? or just a undertable culture in some mean deal.
It’s really a scandal in Asian Game by some political and despicable guys.
No Offense, just wonder, Is it because You! Korean having a cabbage shortage then you do this and hope China can give u a cheap price of Shan-dong cabbage? I believe it is the truth because you can’t live without Kimchi…….YEAH! I got it! I got it! I got it~
“This year’s gold medal for Competition of Liars goes to~~~CHINA~~~,
they have won pretty much all the medal ever recorded,
and definitly ALL the gold since the earliest of the games.”
Zhao, Yang and ATU got no BALLS~~, man
they need all those lies for protection,
typical Chinese propaganda
and to Harn Ming-Rong :
what you see are “ANIMAL FARM” in suit, so no shock at all.
Innex, dude
check the spelling, man
we’re formosa, not forumosa
besides, it’s not even a taiwanese website.
what an idiot.
the ‘extra’ sensors you claimed,
as in the video
was ON THE FLOOR, OUTSIDE THE FIELD
DURING THE ACTUAL MATCH,
that 70 year old TWAT can’t think properly, MAN
don’t you get amazed how the ATU’s excuses changes EVERY SINGLE TIME!!
Hong even mentioned he can’t speak english properly in a single occasion.
I suppose though, it may not be a conspiracy,
but Mr.Zhao Lei uses his position
both as head engineer and China’s coach(which is already unfair)
to mislead the decision of the ATU.
@kc Why did you say “That is why Taiwan shows more affinity to the Japanese!”? We actually have a worse relationship with the Japanese due to historical events such as the majority or the Kamikaze Squad made up of Taiwanese pilots who were forced to attend to their own funerals beforehand, let alone other crimes such as war rape. China and Korea has certainly done something wrong this time (again), however I think we should leave other countries out since they’re not involved. Recent events have blinded you from realising who is the real enemy is in general.
Supporters, just ingore whoever this Innex is, she seems that she do not understand the whole episode, just leave her alone. He who laugh first will always laugh last. We continue our support and demand an explanation to those who caused this unfairness to Shu-Chun……
“2 extra sensors to the heal of her socks” This is fucking bullshit. The video of the tournament clearly showed that the sensors were removed prior to the game. Shame on the Koreans
To my fellow Korean
Respect yourself,or no one else will respect you.
Be honest. Don’t be afraid to admit to your mistakes. Don’t bring shame on all Korean people!
Let evidence tell the story.
The WTF officials are not able to explain the truth that video captured, yet they continue to snowball the lies to cover themselves. It’s really WTF!
Remember the Cheating and foul play done by the Chinese–moving the date a day earlier all of a sudden when the original date was agreed upon. Then forcing the schedule to have the Taiwanese baseball team to play 2 games in one day! Remember these hot tempered Kimchee Koreans during the Seoul olympics???!!!! A coach to the losing s Korean boxer gets made and side kicks the New Zealander referee!! These kimchees only suck up to chinese pigs now!!! That is why Taiwan shows more affinity to the Japanese!
Simply reversing the decision and suspending the officials who acted wrongly in this scandal are not enough. Why? Because this would only deal with the symptoms and not the root cause of the problem: the Taiwanese people would continue to be discriminated against in international events simply because China denies Taiwan’s right to exist as a sovereign nation. So, as blunt as this may sound, I wonder if justice can ever be done until the international community starts standing up for Taiwan through official, de jure diplomatic recognition.
Mike Canadian said to todayonline:
“I am Canadian, not of any Asian ancestry, so I have no bias. I have studied the sport and participated in it. To accuse this athlete of cheating is a travesty. To disqualify her on these grounds is a true shame and a black eye to the sport I love.
What people forget is that these athletes give their lives for this moment, and to have it robbed in such a way is a crime.”
I check the video to know that a player like Yang is so honest. It’s a crime what WTF had done.
It’s lies , all lies , nothing but the lies.
This is pretty ridiculous. In the beginning of the match, the socks were found to have extra sensor on the outside… If she really wants to cheat, she would have put on the inside… (If you want to cheat in a boxing match, you would put the knuckle inside the glove, and not outside… get it?)
So obviously, she violate the rule prior to the match, but then the official asked her to take it off, which she did before the game even started. However, the fight started fairly, and very one sided, then during the last few seconds, the official told them to stop the match and went back to say she cheated because of the extra sensor on the outside of the shoes “before the match”. Why did the official arrive such a late decision after the match already start it? Why did the pre-screening fail to see this issue? Why did the official delivered down the harshest sentence by banning the player instead of deducting points? Yang has never cheated in her career in the past and she was favored to win the title, so I really don’t think she’s trying to cheat intentionally. (An analogy would be taking the GRE test: You brought your graphing calculator with you, then the official said graphing calculator is not allowed, so you put the graphing calculator in your bag and use a standard qualified scientific calculator before the test started. Toward the end of the test, the GRE official stopped you, and said you are disqualified because you were originally planning to use the graphing calculator, and the proof is in your bag… @#$% right?) This article should be changed to Shocking Act of Deception by Taekwondo Official.
Such a shame on WTF, keep telling lie to the world
truth are all in the video!
even publish this article?
this foundation should be disqualified!
Shocking Act of Deception by Asian Taekwondo Union
ATU has to apologize for posting such an insulting announcement before careful investigations. No clear evidence had been shown by the committee regarding 1. whether the sock is banned; 2. whether Yang wore an extra sensor during the match. The truth is now clear. The sock is authorised till 2012, and Yang didn’t add two sensors on her heels. So, why ATU lied to us?
http://sites.google.com/site/dirtytaekwondo2010/
The liars, Chinese Zhao, Korean Yang, and ATU, should be sentenced and be disqualified.
@Innex: The Taiwan player followed the manual that came with the equipment to stick on the sensors. The company that made the socks was verified by WTF itself. the socks were old version however, but it expires in 2012. The official manual that came with the socks does instruct to stick sensors behind the heels, and was later taken off. This was not a deliberate act of cheating, but rather a flaw in the pathetic system itself. And most importantly, those sensors did not help her to gain points and were already taken off when the game began.
I agree Gerardo -when I watched the video I was perplexed as to the referee intervention (which now I understand). The player was demonstrating some well timed repeated kicks to the head so was in a strong position to win. Whoever is responsible it was not necessary and detracted from skills clearly shown
It is untrue, misleading and insulting.
http://sites.google.com/site/dirtytaekwondo2010/
The truth is, she brought two pairs of those electronic socks. She was wearing the the newer version socks. But during inspection, she was asked to change to the other pair because of her small feet. She then opened the package of the brand new socks (which is of an older version) and put on the sensors following the instruction in the manual for the socks before the inspector. She was then allowed to enter the matching area (indicating the socks were legitimate as far as the inspector was concerned)
Before the match, they tested the socks. She was asked to take two sensors off. So she got off the court and had her coach and assistants take those off. And it was placed, by her coach, under the coach’s chair. The referee then allowed the match to begin (which, again, indicating both parties’ equipments are considered legitimate and acceptable.)
12 seconds before the 1st round ends, while Yang was holding a 9-0 lead, the bout was stopped by someone off the court. Then, without much explanation, she was disqualified.
Several points here:
1. The older version socks are actually still qualified. It is not till May 2012 when it is not qualified as an official equipment. This was confirmed by the manufacturing company and WTF rules.
2. According to the manufacturer and the manual that comes with the socks, the sensors were actually supposed to be there. It doesn’t increase her chance of scoring. (Even if it does, her scoring was mostly on the above-shoulder area, which is not determined by the electronic device. Out of 9 points, only 3 were middle part attacks.)
3. The two sensors were taken off when the officials had doubts about them. It was not worn during the match. (But again, it was supposed to be there, but she took them off as told to.)
4. She followed all the inspector, referee and the officials’ demand during the entire process. It is not possible that she “intends to cheat.” Not only were the socks legit, even when asked to take some sensors off, she never refused and just do whatever is demanded. How can someone like this “intended to cheat”?
5. The above four points are actually more than sufficient to prove that the disqualification was a foul play, a persecution even. But I still would like to point out another point: Even solving a murder, people would consider what the motive is. In this case, there is no motive for her to cheat. The victory for this match was a sure thing. It was obvious that her opponent had no chance at all being unable to touch her a bit. Why would someone take the bigger risk to cheat than just wining the match fare and square?
All evidence shows that she did NOT cheat. Please change your news report (especially the title) as it is an insult to a hard working athlete. It is bad enough for her to lose the chance to prove herself on the court. It is heart-breaking to be accused of cheating for someone who didn’t even have the slightest attempt to do so.
Or better yet, post an apology for the athlete and her family. For it is what they deserve.
ATU and WTU have always been controlled by Koreans. It’s a shame that they don’t use their power to provide fairness to all athletes. Rather, over the years, they engaged in a series of deceptive acts to help boost Korean athletes and countries who listen to them. It is a know fact in the Taekwondo industry. Shame on ATU and WTU!
Innex says:
“the manufacturer told both her and her coach AND her trainer when the footguards were purchased that they had been banned from competition since July and were strictly for training purposes only.”
This just proves how ignorant you are. It is a well-known false claim. Would you please do some more research and learn some facts first before embarrassing yourself more?
——————————-
Taipei, Nov. 19 (CNA) The electronic socks used by a Taiwanese taekwondo athlete who was disqualified at the Asian Games were certified for use in the competition and not barred in July, as had been reported, the local agent of the manufacturer said Friday.
Budomart (Taiwan), which supplies electronic socks made by South Korea-based Lajust to Taiwan’s taekwondo team, said that according to the World Taekwondo Federation’s (WTF’s) website, both old and new models can be used at official taekwondo events until May 17, 2012.
Its unfortunate that the inspectors missed it during the pre-match inspection, but it seems pretty clear that these extra sensors can lead to extra points and it also seems pretty clear, at least according to the shop that sold them, that the Taiwanese were well aware of this.
Shame on Asian Taekwondo Union & World Taekwondo Federation! The video show that the sock sensors were removed BEFORE the match!
She should not have used extra sensors at beginning. let it be whatever reasons she claimed, she should make it transparent that she is wearing an older version, keeping silent and is an act of cheating, well she has to blame herself for it and her instructors too.Thus another way of saying they are deliberately cheat to win the match.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Sigh, you don’t get it.
1. She used the socks and the sensors at the beginning (before match started) because they were explicitly APPROVED FOR USE by the manufacturer AND the match officials. The match officials decided to say it’s illegal after the call was made and thus contradicted themselves. Go dig up the news article if you want.
2. She didn’t keep silence either. The reason why the sensors were taken off before match started is because she and her coach told the ref and let him examine it. The ref told them to take them off and that’s what she did.
So with these in mind, can someone please explain to me how exactly is she cheating? The organizer probably wished really hard she was cheating since she was well on her way to fight the Chinese competitor and stood a very good chance of defeating her. However, the fact is she wasn’t cheating. They just had to make up some story and spin the whole thing around for sham
Sounds to me, based on the evidence, that they’re just pissed at getting caught
A few hours ago WTF’s Liang admitted that Yang had removed the two sensors BEFORE the match starting although still insisted the two sensors were not as regulated.
ATU’s statement here is a pure fabrication.
As Winston Churchill once said, “Once you tell a lie, you need to create a whole bodyguard of lies to protect it.”
“The sensors give the fighter an unfair advantage by making the blows seem bigger than they are,” said WTF secretary general Yang Jin Suk, adding that the decision was fair and more sanctions could be expected. If you watch the video, then you will realize this is a lie.
“This is detachable,” he said, holding up a sensor, made of black plastic material and covered in gold dots. “It can be put on anytime, anywhere. It is very small, it can be easily hidden.” Oh, well, another lie. Did he ever bother to watch the video?
“We took those sensors away from her at the competition but she added additional sensors,” Yang Jin Suk, secretary general of the federation, told Reuters by telephone. Lie again.
Yang Jin-suk said there was no question of whether rules were breached. The sensors were “taken away from the player’s socks in the competition area. How can we deny that?” he said. Yes, we can, just by watching the video. Big Liar.
“It is so obvious it is not designed to go on the heel,” he said, saying the manufacturer has never made a product with a sensor in that spot. “There would be more uniformity, be very straight, this is not one that was made for the heel.” Lying again.
Ok, I like to bet on how many more lies Mr. Yang will tell before finally admitting that it is a mistake. Maybe a lot more, because there is always someone like Innex here who keeps blaming the victim (please at least check WTF Competition Rules & Regulations before you keep accusing someone of cheating) and let the villain go free
It’s really a shock to me that two gentlemen wearing the suit used the foul play in order to help Chinese athlete to win the “gold medal”. Is it a real gold medal? I doubt. Shame on Chinese Zhao, Korean Yang and ATU.
I agree with Tony. Yang Shu Chun was winning with kicks to the head, so sensors were unnecessaries. Maybe, the coaches and head of the team should be questioned. They don´t know separate the responsabilities and are blind to the facts.
there are so many evidences why do you guys so insist that Yang cheated in the game?you guys ignore the evidences and keep saying that ,sham on you,
is this the world only cares about the prizes,the championship and don’t care about the truth and sports spirit.and i would never expect WTF shows us the justice.
a picture speaks a thousand words
so these many videos proving YANG Shu Chun’s innocence must speak like a zillion words!!!!
WTF should feel shame how they bluntly accused YANG Shu Chun “a manipulative conduct and intent of cheating” without conducting any investigation…
the heading to this article should be changed to “shocking act of deception by WTF” which would be much appropriated.
ps no woder the initial is WTF…
She should not have used extra sensors at beginning. let it be whatever reasons she claimed, she should make it transparent that she is wearing an older version, keeping silent and is an act of cheating, well she has to blame herself for it and her instructors too.Thus another way of saying they are deliberately cheat to win the match.
1. The Chinese Taipei athlete wore WTF-approved socks.
2. Her feet were too small for the newest type of socks so she wore an older version.
3. The manufacturer apologized for giving her the older type of socks. He supported her claim that she didn’t know the socks were illegal.
4. The socks were legal at the Olympics.
When added to the indisputable evidence that the sensors were taken off before the match began this article is a lie from start to finish.
No one has expressed shame or regret for having been caught cheating. Cheating is not rare. It happens. What isn’t different is that the cheaters seem to think they have been wronged by officials when they are caught. Cheating, remaining silent when others cheat, tolerating cheating, not shunning cheaters is all the same.
Is consider a cheat, in the very first place she should not have those extra sensors, whether or whoever realized those said extra sensors, is very clearly shown they are cheating and is not glamorous at all even if they have won….
Shame on the Asian Taekwondo Union………
Korean judges, you can cheat one time but you can never cheat people in the world all the time. What you are trying to do is just to make your country’s reputation worse. later you will find that no one would like to play games with you.
How was any contestant possibly admitted to the competition when the referee clearly already inspected the socks right before the game started!? (This video explains everything http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ml2l2M-_fog)
This was clearly an unfair, unjust call and shame on Asian Taekwondo Union for publishing such a biased statement on this website!
first of all ,I think your definition of “the start of the game” is so different from every one else.
There must be some official definition about “the start of the game”,
wish you could find some to support your saying.
Secondly, I dont think you have even read the article above either.
Please read this part……
(The match started with everything seemingly as normal as it should in the first 45 seconds of the first round until the engineer from Manufacturer of the Protective Scoring System (PSS), LaJust, saw something unusual about the way the Chinese Taipei player was scoring and the look of her socks.
At this point he asked the center referee to stop the match to check the special socks that are worn by all the players when using the electronic system.)
Even those xxxxing guys said they saw something “unusual” in the game and stopped the match.
so….pretty sorry for you , I believe that your points of views were totally screwed up.
suggest you watch the video again and watch it carefully….
then, think again…
please think before you talk next time!!!
They way your opion showed really hurts.
@amy: WTF? who says once you stand on the field the game starts? They bowed to each other ‘after’ the sensors have been taken off. They put on their helmet ‘after’ the the sensors have been taken off, the score was still 0-0 ‘after’ the sensors have been taken off. “所謂正式比賽是指雙方開始對 打時間算起” The Taekwondo rules states that the actual starting time of the game is when the players ‘start fighting’. If your theory holds true, I would be able to accuse you of cheating in exams if you put your bag in front of the classroom when you walk into exams, since you’re in possession of related books on the ‘exam field’ even though you’ve put it in your bag after revising it before the exam. Now do you think that is fair?
I’d like to reply to Amy, how do you get the rules? If you have time, please check Taekwondo Rule Article 10. Procedure of the Contest, 5C. The game would not start until the Referee commanding ready and begin.
I do not understand why you use such words as Cheater or Liar, I believe the incident shall be examined again. Before that, you should not say the athlete is a cheater or liar. If this happened to your country, how do you feel about being judged as cheating or lying? If this is YOU, how do you feel about that?
@amy:
Go and change a pair of eye glasses or visit a Dr. if you can. I am sure you have some problems on eye vision. The sensors were REMOVED FROM THE SOCKS BEFORE 2:28 IN THAT VIDEO.
The sensors were there when “TEST KICKS” were done on the field. At that time the game hasn’t really started .The two contestants were just warming up on the field!!
Amy, You are wrong. Get your eyes checked. Yang did not have sensors on before she went on the field. The questionable sensors were removed upon the officials’ request before she went onto the field. She did not have the sensors on at all times while competing.
I watched the video, the Taipei player have those sensor when she is on the field! Once you stand on the field, the game starts!
The technitians found out Yang wore illegal sensors while the test kick. They ask Yang to take those off and reported to the main judges. While game was going, judges decided to ask her to leave.
Yang lied to Taiwan media to get away from accusal.
Those who spurn at the rule deserve to leave! And shame on those who support this cheater and liar.
this article was written on the support of little evidence on the feeble ground.
anyoe who is sensible enough wouldn’t have written it.
wtf is the association doing anyway?
I am so disgusted when I heard about this news. The fact and truth is in the video if someone from ATU can just take a look. I felt so sorry for the Taipei athelet who wasted her time preparing for this game and got this ridiculously accusation in return! Outrageous!! The Shocking Deception was done by the organizers of this event!!
The video show that the sock sensors were removed BEFORE the match!!!! PLEASE CHECK The video clip:
Chinese Taipei team had an unfair treat!Please don’t abuse media power to release incorrect garbage without adding any notes!
This is just dumb, Clearly they removed the extra sensor before the match and most the the points are giving by the judge not the system. so basically the system check by the referee before the match start just for fun? or just to check out the players legs and make sure they’re pretty and smooth.
This is a very very shameful Taekwondo Event held by China.
Chinese (PRC) Taekwondo official, Mr. Zhao, is the person who cheated and created this whole mess. Mr. Zhao is Chinese (PRC) competitor’s coach at this same class. He tried all the resorts to set up this trap to help his own student to win the gold medal.
S.C. Yang is innocent.
S.C. Yang passed the equipment test by the event official and the referees. She scored 9 points in 45 sec. 8 of her 9 points has NO relationship with the sensor. She scored twice with drop-kicks for 3 point each. She also scored once with back-kick for 2 points. All of these 3 kicks combined for 8 points which were given by the referee but not the sensor. She only scored once with the sensor-activated point.
So, why Asian Taekwondo Union can claimed that she cheated in the game by having extra sensor? Since only one point is given by the sensor, it is even not an important part in that competition.
The ATU, and Mr. Zhao, have given too many reasons and none of them make any sense. They should appologize to the global Taekwondo community because they cheated. The 49 kg class games should be voided. They should be re-matched.
I want to see S.C. Yang of Taiwan to compete with C.Y. Wu of China. Let the competition in the arena decide who is current the best in Asia. I don’t want the polictical issue to decide this issue for the Asians.
There are video recordings of the two “illegally added” contact sensors being discarded on the floor before the match even started. They weren’t even on the player when the ref called her out. Good job, ATU. You have declared Taekwando to be a rigged sport. It’s not even worth watching anymore when politics dictate the result not skills.
Those two extra sensors have been removed BEFORE the game begins. Check the video yourself.
Timeline:
2:28 the sensors were removed.
2:46 coach throws those extra sensor under his chair.
3:07 the umpire allows the game to start with other umpires’ agreement.
5:44 the guy wearing the suit took a look at Yang’s feet.
6:28 the guy wearing the suit ask the umpire to get those two sensors for him.
6:46 the guy wearing the suit got the sensors from the umpire.
Not only should the association admit that they had made a horrible mistake, but also they should apologize to the the player and her coach for the wrong accusation.
In addition, they should investigate the the guy wearing the suit and fire him for purposely making wrong accusation and disgracing the whole Taekwondo community.
