Ji Ho Choi, "Our Deepest Condolences to Haiti"

Letter from the President of the Pan American Taekwondo Union (PATU) to Haiti.

Dear Mr. Leo Cartright,
.

I hope that you and your family are well enough to read this e-mail.

On behalf of all PATU family and friends, I would like to extend our sincere and deepest condolences to you and your family, our friends in Taekwondo, and the people of Haiti during these difficult times of sorrow and hardship caused by devastating earthquake that was upon you on yesterday.

As I reflect, I was genuinely excited and motivated when you called me in last November to discuss the 1st organization of the Haiti Open in Port of Prince in coming April of 2010. I was also extremely happy to hear your report of the successful completion of Taekwondo developmental program under Olympic Solidarity Program in the beginning of past December. With this ongoing momentum of your profound leadership, PATU was planning to assist Haiti with all necessary supports to further develop our sport in your island.

It is without a doubt a huge shock and disappointment to all of us for what nature has done to the beautiful people of Haiti. Our heartfelt prayers are with you during these times of grief and distress. We wish you a fast yet safe recovery from this painful experience and all damages caused by this earthquake.

We are here ready for you to help with any and all your needs for a quick recovery.

Again, our best wishes to you and your family, and may God bless Haiti for a fast recovery….

Sincerely yours,
.
